To preserve and make available to the public a wide selection of Baltic jewelry styles and techniques that are not readily available through commercial retail channels.
The founder of our company, Maris, is a professionally trained goldsmith who has been perfecting his craft for over 18 years. Uncompromising quality standards and master craftsmanship go toward the creation of jewelry of particular warmth, rotundity and perfection. Our goal has always been to produce heirloom quality pieces of jewelry. It takes much more time and greater effort, but we like to think that the pieces will survive for generations, bringing their owners much pleasure, enjoyment and pride of ownership.
Note: All our work is handmade and variations may occur. The symbols on the charms will vary and this variation contributes t the uniqueness of its design.
Maris’ jewelry collection spans both dramatic and classic styles. He works primarily with sterling, which he associates with the moon and stars as being cool and icy. Silver is also known from earliest times as a “noble” metal for articles of value a description that aptly fits all pieces in Maris’ collection. The influence of ancient styles, particularly Latvian and European jewelry, is evident in many of his pieces. His bold designs are executed in exquisite detail and form a dramatic fashion statement. Each of his designs are personally hallmarked and copyrighted by Maris.
Maris was born in Toronto, Canada. He received his goldsmith diploma at George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology and has learned well-kept secrets from master European gold and silversmiths. After completing his studies, he taught the art of jewelry making to many students. This young man’s handcrafted jewelry adorns numerous well-known celebrities and international patrons. No doubt Maris’ jewelry, just as that of ancient Europeans, will endure for generations.
